A guide to the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show 2024

The Marina Hall, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, will be transformed from 21 to 24 November into a boutique bazaar of luxury yachts for the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS).

Since its debut in 2018, the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show has grown year on year and now attracts around 35,000 visitors annually. It’s a premier event showcasing excellent boats, immersive experiences, and activities for the whole family.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, this year’s event will feature more than 100 boats across the Waterfront, Marina, and 65,000 sqm of exhibition space in the Marina Hall. Over 700 brands from 53 countries will showcase everything from marine equipment to water toys.

A key factor in the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show’s success is its focus on experiences. Visitors can tour the most advanced research vessel in the Middle East, enjoy a magical parade of light and colour, embark on a VR journey, and much more.

Abu Dhabi is an emerging yachting hub, with spectacular coral reefs, lush mangrove forests, beautiful wetlands, and an abundance of incredible wildlife. The region, beloved by UAE residents, is fast becoming a major yachting destination—especially with Dubai just 60 nautical miles away.

Less than a day’s sailing from the capital lies the UAE’s largest coral reef, home to 40% of all coral species in the Arabian Gulf. Turtles, dugongs, sea snakes, and clownfish are commonly seen here. Nearby, the Marawah Marine Biosphere Reserve boasts 120km of pristine coastline and over ten islands, teeming with wildlife including the world’s second-largest dugong community, 70% of the UAE’s migratory birds, and more than 150 species of fish.

TWW Yachts offers a fleet of exceptional yachts available for charter in the Middle East, from the spectacular 162-metre Art Deco sailing yacht GOLDEN HORIZON, which can accommodate up to 247 guests, to the more intimate, adventure-ready Custom Line 28.4-metre motor yacht JYC. Here are three yachts not to be missed at this year’s event:

36m | REDUCE | SilverYachts | 2024

Australia’s SilverYachts, famed for its sleek and utilitarian motor yachts like the 85.3-metre BOLD and the 77-metre Silver Fast, shifted gears a few years ago to focus on 24-36m catamarans. SilverYachts has had tremendous success, and its new fleet is highly sought after.

For the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, SilverYachts will present its largest multihull to date, the 36-metre REDUCE, which was delivered earlier this year. REDUCE, designed by Espen Ă˜ino International, offers accommodation for up to 10 guests and 8 crew. Her wide 13.6-metre beam and open-plan layout give the impression of being a floating villa. Key highlights include a swimming pool, a full-beam master suite with an ensuite bathroom, and private external deck space.

REDUCE is available for purchase. She is asking €21,700,000

23.87m | MARIE-JOSEPH | Sunreef Yachts | 2022

MARIE-JOSEPH, delivered in 2022, is the first yacht from the Sunreef 80 Eco series. The all-electric sailing catamaran is fitted with ultralight composite-integrated solar panels, embedded into her hull, superstructure, and bimini roof. MARIE-JOSEPH is also equipped with an advanced hydro-generation system to recover energy while under sail. The system generates around 15 kilowatts per hour while cruising above 7 knots.

Accommodation is for 12 guests. The owner’s suite, complete with a double bed, a pop-up TV, a sitting area, a vanity desk, and a large ensuite, is located in the starboard hull, alongside a VIP suite. The other two guest cabins are in the port hull. Despite being less than 24 metres in length, she offers an incredible amount of onboard space thanks to her 11.53-metre beam.

23m | Navetta 75 | Absolute | TBC

The Navetta 75, Absolute Yachts’ flagship, is surprisingly spacious. With huge windows, high ceilings, and a clever layout, the Navetta 75 leaves an impression that you’re on board a much larger yacht.

She offers accommodation for eight guests, with a full-beam owner’s suite, with private access from the main lounge and an en-suite bathroom, a VIP, a twin and a double cabin. Key highlights include an aft terrace cockpit with a glass rear parapet. She also has plenty of al fresco social areas to aft and forward.
