German shipyard Lürssen is known for designing and building a number of the world’s largest superyachts, as well as a number of naval ships and special vessels. Founded in 1875 by Friedrich Lürssen, the family-run company is based in Bremen and operates eight shipyards across northern Germany. A bespoke superyacht builder, Lürssen works with clients to design and build their dream superyacht, starting from 50-metres and going up to the 100-metre plus range. Over the years the company has developed a reputation for producing some of the finest luxury superyachts, including the world’s longest superyacht to date, the 180.6m Azzam.
